Techno-babble from yet another babbler RSS 2.0

Well, I got some more studio gear in last Friday. I got a new pair of Studio Monitors and nice Condenser Mic. Along with the software I have I am almost done. Well, now that I have a lot of the gear I decided to put together an arrangement together. It's still *extremely* rough. There is no real mixing, or EQ work done yet. The drum track is laugh-out loud funny and the sound I'm using for the bass is hilarious. There is also a lot of polishing work that needs to be done with the piano. There are of course complete missing tracks right now (like a good acoustic guitar track). I'm basically one piece of software short of really filling out the tune.

Anyways, I thought I would share it with all of you. This is the first time that I'm really sharing "my" music that hits close to home so take it easy on me :).

So, here it is: Linky Linky.

Yup, yet another ridiculous ploy to take over the world by Google (when will we see Transit Live, Microsoft? (::end scarcasm::)). All I have to say is: COOL!!!! (and how convenient, the first release covers just the Portland, Oregon area which I happen to be from; Coincedence? I THINK NOT!).

YAY!!!!!! I'm extremely excited right now. Tomorrow, I am getting my new sofa and chair delivered. Finally, a place for me to relax on and allow my IQ to drop to 12. Tomorrow, after I'm done working, I am planning on sitting on my new chair, stairing at the ceiling, and slobbering all evening long. YAY!

Who knows, maybe I'll pick up some Depends so I don't have to miss out on any relaxing bliss!!!

YIKES! I just realized how much this entire post really drove home the fact that I'm a lazy bastard. Oh well, I've already warned my wife that there is NOTHING getting done around the house this weekend. You know what I'm going to do ALL WEEKEND? NOTHING. Well, not nothing. I suppose if you got technical I'll be celebrating my severe case of Sloth. Oh yeah, chair + drink + video games = Jason Happy Happy Long Time.

FORMAT C:\ that is.

Yup, it's about that time. I fubared my computer a bit when I started doing OS development (I wasn't exactly smart about it when I first started). Ever since then, I get random restarts anywhere from every couple of hours to once every couple of days. I sent in a couple reports with Dr. Watson but nothing was identified as being the problem.

Oh well, at least I do backups. It's not such a pain to do this reformatting every once in a while. However, this time does have me thinking about perhaps going out and getting Ghost to make this process even easier.

So, I suppose I will see you all on the other side. Until then, my friends!!!

Well, it finally happened. After much noise and dismay for several months, the DVD drive in my XBox finally gave way. Luckily I had an extra XBox downstairs so I was able to transplant the working DVD drive into my main XBox. I guess this means that my extra XBox though is simply a box for transplant parts from now on.

Oh well, at least my XBox is up and running again. Of course, by transplanting the DVD drive I did totally bust up the warranty (if it was even under one after what I've done to it =P). Well, I'm just happy my XBox is back to good health.

This was just too good to possibly pass up. I was chatting with Chris Williams over messenger about his new endeavor to learn C#. And this is what he had to say:

VB.NET is the girl you go out with in high school because you know you'll get some, even though you're really interested in the prettier girl (C#), who may or may not give it up.

Then you end up stuck with her...

eventually you start to love her, despite her flaws... but you always wonder what it would have been like...

Quite a way to compare two programming languages. Leave it to us Geeks to compare languages to girls =P.
